Trebes at the Kiel race

We were there again when Zippel's called for the 34th Kiel Run on September 11!

While the 2020 event only took place virtually and last year the runners still had to wear masks for the first 100 meters, this year the course was the same as before Corona: on its traditional second weekend in September, everyone started at the same starting line and ran the usual route along the fjord, which was lined with a large crowd of spectators. A new feature was the five-kilometre "donation breakfast run" in aid of cancer therapy and research, at the end of which a "sporty" breakfast awaited the approximately 100 participants at the Förde Sparkasse (as the main sponsor) on Lorentzendamm.

"The running conditions were great - cloudy at 16 degrees with fans cheering us on for hours!" said team captain Lasse Kohrn. "On the 10.4 km course, our team of 8 came 36th (out of 69) and the two half-marathon runners came 21st and 323rd (out of 1,099). Within the company, more colleagues are keen to join the team in the coming running season - starting in February at the Famila Run!"
