The WFLWR is a charity run for spinal cord research: Hundreds of thousands of runners around the world start at 11:00 (UTC), each followed by the virtual "Catcher Car".
We took part for the 4th time, running alone or in small groups at different locations. After everyone had crossed the virtual finish line, our 21-strong team had covered a total of 256 km.
Our team leader, Lasse Kohrn, has been among the front runners in recent years - this time he ran over 35 km in just over 2.5 hours, achieving 981st place in the world rankings, and was crowned the best in Kiel!
In addition to the fun, this campaign also served a good cause: in 169 countries, 265,818 participants collectively "ran" 2,036,495.13 km and thus raised €8.1 million in donations - for those who cannot.
