Another milestone in the long-standing partnership
On May 31, 2026, the foundation stone for Hall 14 was laid at the ORAFOL site in Oranienburg. As a global player, ORAFOL has been developing scalable solutions that meet specific requirements in plastics production and finishing for over 100 years.
ORAFOL and Trebes have a long-standing partnership. Over many years, we have supported the company with structural engineering expertise on numerous construction projects at the Oranienburg site. Hall 14 is the next chapter in this long-standing partnership - characterized by mutual trust, open communication and a shared commitment to creating quality.
The task: Structural design for Hall 14
As structural engineers, we are responsible for the structural design and dimensioning of the new hall. From the selection of the load-bearing system to the dimensioning of the structure and support during construction. Our aim is to develop a structure that not only meets the technical requirements, but is also economical and sustainable and leaves options open for the future.
Strong planning team on site
The laying of the foundation stone brought together the key players in the project. In face-to-face meetings with the planning teams from gmp Architekten, the building services company Plan B and the contractor Züblin, the current status of the project was discussed, interfaces were coordinated and a shared view of the next steps was sharpened. There is no substitute for such meetings on site - away from video conferences and email correspondence. They strengthen trust, clarify open questions and create the human basis for successful collaboration.
More than symbolism
Laying foundation stones marks a transition: from planning to reality, from paper to concrete. For us, this moment is both an incentive and a confirmation - an incentive to keep the quality of our work at the highest level in every phase of the project, and confirmation that our long-standing partnership with ORAFOL and our planning partners is based on a strong foundation.
